How do I change the stock player

Hi all,

If one was to change the edix standard built in player, one would need a new housing for the new player.

Wondering has anyone done this at all, mind sharing.

Tq,

yes, you will need to get the 2din bracket housing to replace the integrated radio/head unit from the factory.  check with your local stockist.  if they do not have, you could get it from some singapore honda stockist (e.g. thian seng at waterloo street).  most do not keep stock, and have to indent.

make sure you order the right bracket housing as there are two sizes, one for the stock honda navigtion unit, and the other (which you are interested in) is for aftermarket radio/head units.  also, there a few colors, so, order the right color code that matches your edix's interior.

good luck!

cheers!

Re: How do I change the stock player

Thanks for the info, really usefull, I doubt anyone in Malaysia right now has stock for this, my guess I need to order it from your side.

Then comes the question of budget....

Anyway I am planning for other things as well so probably I can go Singapore shopping soon....

1. Bodykit
2. Visor
3. Front light conversion
4. Rims
5. DVD System

I hope all this can be realised soon...still trying my very best to source locally though...

Cheers,

that's what i thought too, but most ice shops mentioned "edix...ah, not popular model leh, no have". ice shops who are more professional would say "no ready stock, have to indent by air", and they will charge at least two to three times the cost of the actual item. i got mine from a stockist, and it's less than s$100. the package even comes with all the required metal brackets & screws. ice shops would charge more saying "have to fabricate custom metal brackets lah" where in actual fact, these attachments comes with the package.

Hi there,

If you go to a beta ICE shop should be fine.

Think most of them carry.

Hope that you find yours soon.

Good luck.

bro siva, you can check out thian seng's website below with addresses & contact details.  check with the waterloo branch, and ask for anthony (not sure if he's still working there).  anthony is very knowledgable on edix's parts.  not sure if it ship parts to malaysia.
